Announcements Carousel is a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) web part that shows company news, reminders and alerts as a rotating carousel or a stack of cards on a SharePoint Online page. It reads a native SharePoint announcements list — you can pick an existing list or create a new one in one click — so content is managed in Microsoft Lists and never leaves your Microsoft 365 tenant. You can choose between two layouts — **Carousel** and **Stacked cards** — and two transitions (Slide or Fade). Cards support formatted text, images, links, file attachments, a color tag and an emoji, plus an optional author and creation-date line. Autoplay runs at a configurable interval (2–30 seconds), pauses on hover or focus and has a Play/Pause button; readers can also navigate with arrows, pagination dots, keyboard keys or touch swipe. Each announcement can have an expiration date; expired items are removed from the carousel automatically and an optional expiry indicator can be shown on the card. When there are no active announcements, the web part hides itself in Read mode (a notice is shown in Edit mode only). No. Announcements Carousel reads data through the SharePoint REST API as the current user, so no Microsoft Graph permissions or admin consent are required. The only permission you may need is the right to create lists on the site if you let the web part create a new announcements list. The web part displays up to 50 items (configurable), autoplay works only in the Carousel layout with more than one announcement, and if content approval is enabled on the list, authors need approval rights or their items will not be visible to readers. It is built for modern SharePoint Online pages and, since version 26.10.1, can also be added as a Microsoft Teams channel tab. It is responsive, accessible (ARIA roles, keyboard support), supports RTL languages and is localized into more than 45 languages.
